Storage One — Text Messaging (SMS) Terms & Opt-In
How our text messaging program works, and how to opt in or out.
Storage One operates self-storage facilities in Clio, Lennon, and Waterford, Michigan, and in Niagara Falls, Ontario. This page describes our SMS (text message) program: what messages we send, how customers consent to receive them, and how to stop them at any time.
Program description
Customers and prospective customers who contact us and provide their mobile number may receive text messages such as:
- Reservation and booking confirmations for storage units
- Links to view live unit availability and rent online
- Secure payment-portal links to pay a bill
- Our location addresses and phone numbers
- Replies to questions about facilities, hours, pricing, and unit sizes
These are customer-care and transactional messages. We do not send promotional or marketing bulk texts through this program.
How you opt in (consent)
You only receive text messages after you contact Storage One and provide your mobile number for that purpose. There are two ways to opt in:
1. By phone. When you call Storage One and speak with our phone assistant, the assistant asks whether you would like to receive a text (for example, a payment or unit-rental link). You provide your mobile number and verbally agree to be texted.
2. On our website. When you use the chat assistant at www.storage-one.com, you enter your mobile number to request a link or information. The following consent notice is shown at the point where you provide your number:
"By sharing your phone number you agree to receive text messages (reservation, payment & rental links) from Storage One. Msg & data rates may apply. Msg frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Privacy Policy | Terms."
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase. Storage One does not purchase, rent, or sell phone numbers, and your mobile opt-in and consent information is never shared with third parties.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies and depends on your interactions with us (for example, when you request a link or confirm a reservation). Messages are transactional.

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
How to opt out
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any of our text messages. You will receive one confirmation message and will not receive further texts unless you opt in again.
